I love what I do. A lot of it has to do with music. I've been playing music since a young age. When I was 12 I picked up the bass guitar. Before that I played the alto saxophone. I stuck with the bass and it has taken me very far. I am a multi-instrumentalist. I am a bassist, drummer, guitarist, a pianist, etc. I'm also an experienced audio engineer and producer.
I find joy in all that I do. I gravitate towards working with people who I believe in and from whom I feel like I can learn. I strongly encourage imagination and creativity not only in art and music, but in daily life too.
For years I've toured, playing music and also doing things like front-of-house engineering and tour managing. I have an extensive list of tours, recordings, and events that I've been a part of or helped facilitate. I like to share information with others taken from my own experiences that can potentially help them reach their goals, as I continue to reach mine.
I currently tour on bass with Bully (Subpop) and own and operate Byrd Finds. I also collaborate with Lowen, exist as an avid recording artist under the name Nickybaby, and am a recording and broadcast engineer for OurVinyl TV. I reside in East Nashville, TN, and have lived in Nashville since 2011.
Take a look around the site and check out what I've worked on, and reach out if you're interested in working together!
With love,
Nick
